What is Lip Enhancement and How Can it Help Me?
If you have never been lucky enough to have full lips or your lips aren’t as plump as they used to be, lip enhancement or augmentation can help.
Our experienced Sydney dentists can enhance the contours of your lips creating the desired shape and fullness to restore volume and aesthetics. Lip filler at our Chatswood practice can also help define the border of the lips, lift the corners of the mouth that start to sag, and treat fine lines around the lip area caused by sun exposure and/or smoking.
Lip Fillers – What to Expect
Lip enhancement injections contain safe and proven products that are similar in nature to hyaluronic acid – a natural substance found in the body.
Before any cosmetic injection, our dentist may apply a numbing cream to alleviate any discomfort. The areas to be injected are carefully marked and very fine needles are skilfully used to inject the lip fillers into the designated area.
Following the injections, ice (wrapped in a cloth) you should avoid putting any firm pressure on the area for a few hours at least. Lipstick or balm should also be avoided immediately after treatment.
When will the final look be achieved?
While results are immediate with lip fillers, It usually takes around 2 weeks for the filler to settle in and achieve the final look. Typically lip enhancement at our Chatswood practice lasts for around 6 months.
